The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Performed inventory planning and analysis to balance customer needs with optimal utilization of financial resources.
  • Provided strategic risk, operation and cost analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) for review.
  • Provided internal reporting, research, forecasting and analytical support for end-to-end process and other aspects of the procurement process.
  • Defined and streamlined internal operational processes with participation from multiple stakeholders including accounting, operations, product management and financial planning leads.
  • Closely monitored delivery timing, product availability and pricing to maintain profitable minimum order quantities.
  • Acted as consultant to management directly on vendor strategy and international offices management.
  • Planning delivery timetables.
  • Ensuring stores have enough stock.
  • Making sure suppliers have enough stock to meet demand.
  • Overseeing the ordering and packaging process.
  • Monitoring stock levels.
  • Tracking products through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination.


Required Experience and Competencies are as follows:

  • Tertiary qualification, preferable within Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum of 4-7 year experience within Retail, Food Service and or Ecommerce.
  • Good Communication skills (understanding of production line process would be an advantage).
  • Having worked with Modern Trade, for example – Carrefour, Lulu, Co-op.
